What's Better - American or French Wine? - Pinkies Up Ep. 11
Nick is often asked what's better - American or French wine, and in this episode of Pinkies Up, we put four American wines against four French wines to see what Bridget thinks are the best!
In this episode, you'll learn some general differences between American and French wines, what causes those differences, and we'll help you find the right wine for you. Bridget's opinion is what determines the answer in this episode, but you can decide for yourself at home!
Here's a list of the wines we tried today:
ROUND ONE - SPARKLING WINE
- Scharffenberger Brut Excellence - Mendocino, California
- Charles Armand Blanc de Blancs - Vin Mousseaux, France
ROUND TWO - CHARDONNAY
- Hess Select Chardonnay - Monterey, California
- Cave de Lugny 'Les Charmes' Chardonnay - Macon, France
ROUND THREE - PINOT NOIR
- Calera Pinot Noir - Central Coast, California
- Louis Latour Pinot Noir - Burgundy, France
ROUND FOUR - MERLOT
- Coppola Director's Cut Merlot - Sonoma, California
- Chateau Tour d'Auron - Bordeaux, France
This was a fun way to explore the difference between what Nick and Bridget like, and you can easily recreate this episode at home with friends and / or family. It's a great little party game. There's no right answer, just personal preference!
